Archived AF : Bands I want to see before I die.
Updated: Feb 14, 2023
This list is posted from January of 2012. Boy was I clueless about the number of shows I would see before I turn 30. I would go on to cross a lot off my list. I will note in bold any comments to the list.
Bands/Artists I want to see before I die
Aerosmith (Again,it was a spiritual music thing going on there, most amazing feeling I have ever had) I would go on to see them 5 more times, with the last show being on stage in a vip area standing literal yards from the band.
Eminem Had a chance to see him at a festival in Kansas City and didn't end up going. One of my biggest concert regrets.
Jack White I have seen Jack solo twice and with the Raconteurs once. One of the best live performers I have ever witnessed. No concrete setlit, playes for 2 plus hours straight, just electric and everything younger me wanted him to be like in person.
Ben Folds I got to see Ben Folds Five, Ben Folds solo, and I have had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Folds.
The Decemberists This group has become one of my all time favorite bands. Their discography fits into every mood and their live shows are cheesy and brilliant. Seen twice.
Tesla (Again) I have seen Tesla 4 times in total. One of the best acts of the 80s still touring.
Jukebox the Ghost Not only have I seen JtG, I would consider the guys friends. Next show I will catch will be show number 10. Just spectacular and sentimental in all regards.
Kiss The first show I saw Kiss was an intimate venue where I would take my all time favorite concert picture.
Ozzy Had tickets to a tour that was ultimately canceled due to his Parkinsons diagnosis.
Steven Perry
Journey I not only got to see Journey in my small town where I grew up, I also got to see them again with my father who had introduced me to the band when I was a kid.
Def Leppard Done and done.
Van Halen Had tickets to a tour that was canceled before it began.
Nelly One of my favorite shows and then tried to catching lighting in a bottle a second time and was incredibly disappointed.
Paul McCartney The night before our honey moon, paul played for 3 hours in Wichita and I lost my voice singing all the hits.
Elton John Never was able to see the Rocketman in person.
