My assumption is, purely based on the hot rod flames and button ups on their single album art, JC & the C are heavily influenced by spikey haired culinary colonel, Guy Fieri.

Chili Today, Hot Tamale is a bop that leans into cheesy lyricism and beats that use marching band instrumentation and funk synth that creates a modern indie rap song feels like it was taken straight out of the 80s.
